Save paper save the planet
Around the world we use 1 million tons of paper every
day. For that to be true, you and I, as
consumers, must know where our paper comes from and where it is going if we
want to do our part. The most important element is the forest where paper comes
from. Paper must come from a young tree in managed forests on private lands to
be environmentally neutral, or in some cases, positive.
Too much of this paper usage is wasteful and unnecessary
and puts huge pressure on the environment. To raise awareness on the excessive
amount of paper-waste we should conduct the seminars and also we should make
the TV advertisements and show the message that we should not waste the paper
During the years, as both culture and society develops, advertising companies
are becoming more and more persuasive, tempting, and with a strong emotional
impact. There are many products that are advertised with the only aim of
selling material goods that just promote and/or raise consumerism ideologies,
and by these days are so deeply rooted in our culture that they appear to be
almost natural. We should fights for the conservation and survival of nature.
We should least reduce environmental damages with a fully eco-centric purpose,
and to create a future where humans and nature will hopefully coexist.
Papermaking
traditionally has had a large toxic footprint with the use of chlorine to
bleach wood fibers. This is toxic to our waterways and all life that depends on
them. Chlorine use per pound of paper production is going down. However, the
increase in production over time has offset that reduction. Some paper
companies have been able to eliminate chlorine use, but not all.
Small things you can do to save
paper
1. Use the reusable napkins and kick the paper towel habit
2. Donate your old magazines, papers and newspapers
3. Wrap gifts creatively
4. Print on both sides of the paper
5. Use a handkerchief instead of tissues
6. Use an erasable board for note taking and reminders at home or the
make the note on mobile or in the computers.
7. Reuse notebooks until the end and save empty pages
In conclusion, it is
necessary to also look at the cognitive elements of the picture, and how do
they contribute to its understanding. First of all, memory might be crucial for
all those people who are able to recall a period in their life when they got in
touch with the same message conveyed by the ad, for example, in a newspaper or
TV, and compare them. Secondly, also selectivity is important because being the
silhouette in the first picture the only colored element, it is also the first
one to be seen and which gives the message straight away. The ethical principle claims that we must not do to
our neighbor what we would not do to ourselves.so we should not waste the
paper. Because when we waste the paper more the trees are cut then more the
pollution increased.
